be an existing leaflet of A4 size (210 mm x 297 mm ) printed on both sides, to
be bound into the abstract and acts as an index. Additional references from
this section will then be made to further files on the CD. Please forward 260
copies to the EWSN office for print collation before 5th July 2004 .
After this date material can only be inserted as loose inserts into the
symposium delegates bag, but all "insert materials" must be forwarded to the
Local Secretariat in Croatia.
Instructions For Preparing PDF Files
Step 1 - Make New File/s
These can be
prepared with the "Adobe Distiller" with preferences set to "ebook" or "print"
go to Start>Settings>Printers and select the distiller options first
("print" is a higher quality file). The original document with program (e.g.
MSword etc.) is opened then send to "print" using the distiller driver instead
of the usual print driver, the new file will be on your desktop.
If the adobe "icon" is available in your originating document program then the file can also be converted directly ( note the file resolution for "ebook" is 600 dpi; colour/greyscale 150 dpi; monochrome 300 dpi you will have to check this before you click the publish button or you will have a poor quality file).
Step 2 - Secure New File/s
At this stage
your new document/s will be completed but you will need to secure the file, you
will need to do this in Adobe acrobat. If you want to set-up any hyperlinks to
your website or add bookmarks please do this first. Check that (see
File>DocumentProperties>OpenOptions dialog box) Initial view is set to
"bookmarks and page" or "thumbnails and page" with page layout = "continuous".
All documents should be set to "standard security" with a preferred master
password. only the "no printing" check box should be disabled (see
File>Document Security dialog box).
NOTE: If you want the EWSN office to make final proofing changes we will need a password, but it is recommended that all changes be completed before you forward files for publication to CD-ROM.
